The 2913160 series of access control systems offer an industrial grade solution for access control applications in the industrial, commercial and residential segments. The series contains robust and dependable units with a variety of features designed to provide reliable security for a variety of applications. Attendance tracking, time & attendance management, remote time clock and access control can all be performed with these systems.

The 2913160 system provides features such as a keypad for password entry, dual-sided card reader for user identification, access control panel for controlling door access, sensors for input/output support and a door lock or entrapment. It also features an LED for visual action, a door contact for door status monitoring, an auxilliary contact for alarm connection, and built-in metering for power usage control.

The system is available in four variants of Reader/Control panel that can be integrated into the overall system. The readers are wired for single/dual Wiegand configuration, and interfaced with the control panel\'s multi-mode Quad Port interface. The multi-mode Quad Port allows for connection of up to four readers in the same loop. Control panel is connected to the readers through RS-485 interface using a twisted pair cable.

The system works by pushing the user\'s card through the Wiegand interface which is processed by the reader. Once read, the panel processes the connection and decides whether to allow access or not. With an offline mode, the system is also able to operate without an access control Smart Card or a central server, which means that security can still be maintained even when a central server or access system is down.

In addition to the basic access control system, the 2913160 series also features advanced accessories which can be used to make the system more robust and ensure key security areas are always protected. These include PIR motion sensors, electromagnetic locks, electric striker locks, alarm signage, alarm controller, CCTV camera, dual-swipe card readers, and biometric readers. All of these accessories are designed to enhance the security of the system, to enable system controller to view activity, and help to protect key areas of access control architecture from untrusted personnel or intruders.
