The 2EZ27D10E3/TR8 is a silicon junction rectifier, or zener diode, which is designed to protect electronics from high voltages or to invert high voltages to low voltages. It is a semiconductor device with a single junction between two conducting elements that allows a current to flow, with certain characteristics that enable various applications.The 2EZ27D10E3/TR8 has a maximum junction temperature of 125 degrees Celsius and operates in the temperature range of -55 C to +125 C. It is tested at 860 volts, which is below the rated isolation voltage of 900 volts. The device comes in a dual in line plastic package, with a 10A current capacity and a 27V breakdown voltage. The diode has a 1N5227B Zener voltage and a 2W power dissipation.The main application fields of the 2EZ27D10E3/TR8 zener diode are high voltage protection, voltage level shifting, and over-voltage protection.
