Aluminum - Polymer Capacitors
Aluminum-Polymer (Al-Poly) capacitors are the latest in solid-state capacitor technology. They incorporate aluminum foil electrodes with a solid polymer dielectric material. Al-Poly capacitors are increasingly being used in a wide range of applications due to their numerous advantages over traditional aluminum and aluminum electrolytic capacitors. These advantages include high temperature-resistance, low losses at high frequency, long life and low ESR.
2SW220M is an example of an Aluminum-Polymer capacitor. It is a cylindrical, surface-mount capacitor with a rated voltage of 20VDC. The capacitor has a unique feature of super wide working temperature range, from -55ºC to +105ºC.
