The 2U3825-33QDBVRG4Q1 works by monitoring system power supply voltages from 4V to 5.5V and hold a system in reset until all of the voltages have ramped up or down to their specified value. Additionally, it is able to monitor the VCC, VDD, and VIO signals for each voltage. This allows for voltage-level-dependent reset control which ensures all power supplies are stable before releasing reset. The device has four outputs, three of which are active-low signals to determine reset, power on reset, and low voltage reset. The final lowest output is an active-low delay reset signal.
The device also has short-circuit protection that is activated when voltage drops more than 45mV below the reset threshold, which helps protect downstream components in case of a short circuit.
