412S12 Application Field and Working Principle

412S12 circular cable assemblies are mainly used in electronic equipment and instruments for signal transmission. It is widely used in high current/voltage and frequency applications. The design of the 412S12 connectors promises reliable performance in precision controls and harsh environments as well.

The design of the 412S12 connectors consists of a plastic shell, a threaded coupling nut mounted on a socket, a pin mounted on a plug, and a series of contact springs. It is designed for a positive locking action between the male and female connector halves. The plug locks into the receptacle when two protrusions on the male connector snap into two cavities in the female connector, securing the connection.

The connector mates with an audible click and cannot be discoupled by pulling the wires apart since the male element is retained in the female element.

The 412S12 connectors have good impact strength and electrical characteristics. It has a threaded coupling nut with lens seal finish to ensure connection reliability and resist dust and moisture.

A spring-loaded contact in the female connector nose provides a wiping contact motion when mated with a pin contact in the male connector. This ensures a good electrical contact and reliable performance in low current applications.

The 412S12 also features a self-latching design to ensure connection integrity. Both the male and female connectors are equipped with polarized locking keys that mate for a positive locking action.

The connector shell is designed for flexibility - both the male and female components can rotate relative to each other, allowing for variable cable angle and length. The connectors are also designed with a radiator seal to ensure a solid, waterproof connection.
