The 4320-DKDB4 RF Evaluation and Development Kit is a versatile development board designed for use by RF engineers and technicians for evaluation and development of Frequency Modulated and Frequency Hopping applications. This development kit helps engineers and technicians quickly and easily build prototypes or customised products to any application.

The 4320-DKDB4 RF Evaluation and Development Kit contains the hardware and software necessary to evaluate, develop, and debug a wide range of Frequency Modulated and Frequency Hopping applications. It includes an optional flex pre-programmable ASIC and a fully integrated dual-port Memory and Bus to allow for easy and complex Signal Path tests and other software- and hardware-based test requirements. The flex pre-programmable ASIC allows for rapid development and prototyping of custom low power applications including wideband transceiver-centered applications.

At the heart of the 4320-DKDB4 RF Evaluation and Development Kit is the STMicroelectronics STM32F4xx application processor running at up to 168 MHz. It is connected to an optional 256KB Flash, 32KB RAM, and 4KB EEPROM, as well as an optional Memory configuration of up to 64KB internal flash, 16KB RAM, and 8KB EEPROM. The STM32F4xx application processor also includes integrated hardware support for hardware-level debugging, code and memory protection, and low power debugging capabilities.

The board has two MCU extension ports to allow for additional hardware and provides advanced debugging support such as Real-Time Digital Signal Analysis (RTDSA) and TraceView, which allows the visualisation and analysis of MCU and software events in a real-time graphical environment. The board also includes a polarized crystal oscillator (XO) that allows for precise control and synchronisation of the STM32F4xx MCU.

The 4320-DKDB4 RF Evaluation and Development Kit also includes an optional high-precision, wide-bandwidth Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) that is designed to drive gains of up to 60 dB and is capable of handling high-power applications. The board also includes a high-sensitivity Frequency Modulator (FMod) connected to an RF switching network for fast switching among multiple frequency bands. The board has two onboard RF switches for integration into an array of external antenna and radio-frequency (RF) devices.

The 4320-DKDB4 RF Evaluation and Development Kit also contains an integrated power monitoring and control module and an onboard SPI compatible interface. The SPI compatible interface allows the user to interface with external special purpose analog-to-digital converters (ADC) and digital-to-analog converters (DAC). Additionally, the board includes a programmable logic configuration interface, software-controlled reset support, as well as an on-board debugger connection interface.
