Programmable Oscillators

Programmable oscillators are electronic circuits used to generate oscillations, or repetitive electrical signals, with an adjustable frequency and adjustable voltage. Oscillators are used in various applications such as test and measurement, communications, sound synthesis, robotics, and audio and imaging systems. As their names suggest, programmable oscillators are electronically programmable through software or hardware interfaces.

The 510SAA-ABAG is a digital programmable oscillator that is designed to generate a single frequency between 5 Hz to 400 KHz. It is a low-power, low-voltage device with low propagation delay and jitter. The device is configurable and programmable using SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) for frequency, phase, start-up values, internal temperature compensation, output logic levels and edge rate control.
