They provide the flexibility to use in systems ranging from low power desktop PCs, to large scale embedded industrial controllers and communications systems.The 511SCB-ABAG family of oscillators builds on existing technologies and features a new self-contained, compact and cost-effective design which is user friendly and easy to implement. The 511SCB-ABAG combines a variety of advanced patented technologies, a novel circuit topology, and wide range of programmable parameters to produce ultra-precise, robust and highly stable waveforms.The basic function of the 511SCB-ABAG is to measure the frequency of an input signal and then adjust the output frequency accordingly. The oscillator unit is normally controlled by an on-board microcontroller, which uses algorithms to achieve ultra-precise frequency control. This allows for the user to easily configure the oscillator’s frequency range and output. Additional features include the ability to adjust the amplitude and shape of the waveforms, as well as the ability to detect and filter out frequency glitches.While the 511SCB-ABAG can be used in frequency synthesis, its main application is as a high-precision and low-cost solution for controlling complex digital systems such as video compression, communication systems, audio and video synthesis, and process control.
