Working Principle

The operating principle of 51K507-803N5 is mainly based on three protection elements: charge protection, discharge protection and overload protection. When the voltage of the battery pack from charging source rises beyond the absolute safe value or exceeds the preset overcharge protection voltage, the corresponding pin voltage is higher than 0.8V and the chip will be triggered to open the charging circuit. The discharge protection part includes overdischarge protection. When the voltage of the battery pack dropped to below the overdischarge protection voltage or below the absolute safe voltage, the corresponding pin voltage is lower than 0.2V and the chip will be triggered to close the output circuit. The overload protection part includes current protecting for battery from over discharging and short circuit protection. When the output current of the battery exceeds the absolute safe value or the current preset, the chip will be triggered to cut-off the output circuit.
