Pin Configurable/Selectable Oscillators
Pin Selectable/Configurable Oscillators are types of oscillators that use a combination of fixed frequency and programmable features, allowing them to be programmed to the application\'s desired frequency, voltage and output type. The 534FC002410DG oscillator is such an oscillator, with the added advantage of an extremely wide range of operating frequencies, a very low profile package and thermal stability.The 534FC002410DG oscillator uses a programmable crystal oscillator (PXO) to generate its outputs. The PXO allows for great flexibility in its operation, allowing for tuning and buffering of the clock frequency, together with the ability to select different output formats. The PXO composes two parts, such as the programmable crystal cell and the oscillator control logic IC. The 534FC002410DG uses a proprietary technology of "programmable harmonic array” which is located in the oscillator control logic IC to keep the jitter below a few picoseconds, providing a very stable clock signal. The output frequencies of the PXO are dividable on a sub-Hz level and may be further divided by the frequency dividers located on the same chip.The PXO resonator may be used either as the REF OUT for PLL\'s that require a reference signal for stable operation. The REF OUT has a programmable threshold level, allowing it to be used with either positive or negative voltage references. The REF OUT can also be used as an input to a multiple reference clock-select circuit. The voltage supply pins of the 534FC002410DG can be configured to accommodate different applications. It can support a single supply voltage of 4.75V or two supply voltages of 3.3V and 5V. This configuration allows it to operate in a wide range of operating conditions.
