5447078 Top Entry Type Working Principle

The 5447078 top entry type terminal block consists of a printed circuit board (PCB) connector with an inner and outer layer of insulation. The inner layer is typically made of Kapton or a similar material, while the outside layer is made of ThemoPlastic Polymer (TPE). The TPE layer has an anti-slip feature to provide better grip for users. The PCB connectors are soldered onto the printed circuit board. Using a spring-loaded pin, the 5447078 pluggable connectors securely attach to the PCB connector.

5447078 Side-Entry Working Principle

The 5447078 side-entry type terminal block is similar to the top entry type, except that instead of a spring loaded pin, an external latch is used to secure the pluggable connector to the PCB connector. The latch has two parts, an upper latch and a lower latch, which are controlled by two buttons on the side of the terminal block. By pressing down and releasing the upper and lower latch buttons, the pluggable connector is securely inserted into the PCB connector.
