The 551600142-002/NOPB is a Evaluation Board - DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS, a device designed to efficiently convert the electrical energy from one circuit to another of different voltage levels. This application field is characterized by high power conversion efficiency, output voltage and current stability, low noise, and high reliability. This board is designed for power-conversion applications in a wide range of industrial, military, and consumer electronics applications.The 551600142-002/NOPB Evaluation board is a three stage single push-pull dc-dc converter that combines an active power factor corrected (PFC) PWM controller IC, an active bridge rectifier (ABR) IC, and a synchronous buck converter IC in one package. This board also supports a wide range of input and output voltages from 36V to 5V and is capable of delivering up to 200W power. The Evaluation Board utilizes a two-phase interleaved operation to maximize power efficiency. In addition, a regulated and temperature compensated reference voltage is provided by the ABR IC for the Soft Start and OCP (overcurrent protection) functions.The 551600142-002/NOPB Evaluation board uses a pulse-width modulated (PWM) design with variable duty cycle to regulate the output voltage level. By varying the duty cycle, the 551600142-002/NOPB can provide both the output voltage and current stability. This board supports a wide range of power switches, from low-cost, low-power, low-inductance types to high-power, high-efficiency types. The PWM control and feedback loop are optimized for maximum performance and highest efficiency.The 551600142-002/NOPB Evaluation board also features automatic discontinuous conduction mode to optimize the design for higher power levels.
