Tantalum CapacitorsA tantalum capacitor is an electronic component used to store electrical energy. It is composed of a tantalum dioxide (Ta2O5) or niobium dioxide (Nb2O5) dielectric, material and a conducting plate surrounded by a metallic or electrolyte plate. The main advantage of polymer tantalum capacitors is that they are mechanically stable and can operate at high temperatures.
