5KP6.0A-G is a type of TVS diodes, first introduced by American manufacturer ON Semiconductor. The 5KP6.0A-G is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from transients caused by voltage or current surges. Other types of transients such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can also be protected by the 5KP6.0A-G.

A TVS diode typically consists of a pair of terminals and a single, non-polarized, semiconductor diode with a rated breakdown voltage.
