As a form of Single Conductor Cables (Hook-Up Wire), 6717S GR005 is a hook-up wire made of tinned copper strand for a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications.  It has UL & CSA approvals and is frequently used in the automotive, medical, professional audio/video, and appliance markets.

6717S GR005 comprises of tinned copper strands which are soft tinned and heavily compacted to create an even and dense wire.  With an insulation of Thermoplastic Elastomeric (TPE), this wire provides a long-term flexibility, excellent aging characteristics, physical strength, superior abrasion resistance, and superior chemical resistance.  Moreover, the cabled tinned copper strands reduce oxidation and are easier to solder.  This wire has a voltage rating of 300V with a temperature rating of -40°C to 105°C.  The temperature range of this wire is superior to those of PVC and other thermoplastics.
