The 74ALVC373D,112 is an octal D-type flip-flop with latch-enable input. It is composed of eight independent level-triggered D-type flip-flops with a common Clock input and a common clear input. These eight flip-flops are triggered and operate at different levels of the clock pulse. The first part of the clock pulse is active-high and causes the level at the D bus to be latched into the flip-flop when it is enabled. The second part of the clock pulse is active-High and causes the data at the D bus to be latched into the flip-flop when it is not enabled. When the latch-enable input is LOW, the data present at the D inputs is stored in the flip-flop and appears at the Q outputs. When the latch-enable input is HIGH, the data present at the Q outputs is frozen and is available at the Q outputs.The 74ALVC373D,112 can be used as a latch device in many applications. It has the ability to store the data present at the inputs and store it until the data needs to be changed or updated.
