Logic - Latches74ALVCH16841DGGS is a member of the 74AHC Series low voltage latches manufactured by Texas Instruments. Specifically, it is a 16-bit octal latch designed to operate from a wide range of supply voltages, from 1.65V up to 5.5V. This product offers improved noise and ESD immunity, power consumption and operating/storage temperature range compared to previous versions of the 74AHC Series. The 74ALVCH16841DGGS consists of 16 latches, each with the same pinout, configuration, and operation. It includes two clock inputs (pins 1 and 17), output-enable inputs (pins 2 and 18) and 16 data inputs and outputs. Logic state is maintained while the output is enabled. Data bits are written into the latch when the output is enabled and both clock inputs are low, and the logic states are maintained until the next write cycle.The 74ALVCH16841DGGS is ideal for applications requiring multiple bus interfaces, address decoding, level conversion, audio/video switching, data conversion and display multiplexing. Due to its low power consumption, fast operation and wide voltage range, it can also be used in digital systems such as microprocessors, digital signal processors and microcontrollers. In addition to the features mentioned above, the 74ALVCH16841DGGS also has a high fan-out which allows for direct driving of up to 10 loads.
