The 74AVCH8T245PW is a member of the Advanced CMOS (AC) family of logic-level translators, level shifters, and buffer gates designed to increase system performance by operating with very low supply currents over a wide voltage range. This device features a low-voltage (3.0 V to 3.6 V) CMOS input Logic Family and a higher-voltage (5.0 V to 5.5 V) CMOS output Logic Family. The 74AVCH8T245PW is capable of translating from one family to another with no power-supply sequencing. This device offers very low propagation delay times (6 ns typically at 5 V).

The 74AVCH8T245PW provides a wide range of applications in logic-level translation use cases such as embedded control and communications, smart grid and automation systems, industrial infrastructure, servers, and consumer products. It also offers applications in logic buffers, or level shifting, where low voltage operation is a requirement.
