The 74LCX841MSAX latch is a static CMOS full-duplex process device which allows data in the form of multibit or single-bit parallel data transfers to be latched and stored. The device itself is composed of four 8-bit latches.The 74LCX841MSAX is composed of two 8-bit latches, each with a dedicated Gated D-Latch and D Flip-Flop. The 8-bit latch provides simultaneous data transfer for 8 lines of data in the form of 8-bit words.The Gated D Latch and D Flip-Flop each have an input that can be used to provide either active-low or active-high data, allowing them to be used in a variety of applications. Additionally, the device contains an Enable signal which also allows for the latching of data.The 8-bit latch features a dual-rail static latch structure with complementary output signals (Q/Q*), which allows for one-hot data handling. When the Enable signal is asserted, the device latches the current data present on the D inputs, and will store the data until the next active edge. When the Enable signal is de-asserted, the current data present on the D inputs will not be latched and the previous data state will remain.Conclusion
