The 74LV2GT04AUSE-E (74LV2GT04) is a member of the Texas Instruments 1000-series TTL logic family. It is a low-voltage version of the SN54/74LS04, but provides a higher immunity to noise and can survive electrostatic discharge (ESD) significantly better than standard TTL parts. It is a Schottky Buffer/Line Driver with four gates, and hence functionally there are four independent inverting buffers. The device operates over the voltage range of 2.7V to 5.4V, allowing for flexibility in the application.
The main application of 74LV2GT04AUSE-E is as a buffer or line driver. This can be seen in the schematic of the device below, where the Logic Input (LI) pins are connected to the Logic Output (LO) pins, with an input buffer in between. The output drivers are capable of driving up to 25mA, enough to drive large capacitive and inductive loads.
