Working Principle
The device works in two modes: In the active mode, the device operates at high speed, with typical delays of 5 ns. When the device is enabled, it buffers the data from the input line and outputs it to the output line.In the inactive mode, the device is disabled, and the output line is in the high-impedance (HiZ) state. In this mode, the device does not transfer any data from the input line to the output line, and can thus save power by not driving an unnecessary signal.
Additionally, 74VHCT540ASJX has low propagation delay of 5 ns and is capable of driving up to 10 line receivers or 15 low-power Schottky TTL devices. It has an input high voltage of 4.0V min and an output low voltage of 0.45V max at 8 mA. The device has a supply voltage of 5V, and can be powered down with a power-down control signal.
