RFI and EMI - Contacts, Fingerstock and GasketsRadio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electromagentic Interference (EMI) are disruptive forces in the transfer of energy and signals from one source to another. Without proper shielding or containment, energy and signal transfers can be adversely affected and lead to malfunction or equipment damage. This is why electrical contacts, fingerstock and gaskets are essential components in preventing RFI and EMI from impacting an application. Therefore, it is important to select components with the proper specification and material to ensure the system performs as required and is reliable in operation.
