It can handle data rates up to 6.4GHz for clock networks and up to 5.8GHz for signal networks.

The 8304AMILF is designed to accept signals from differential- or single-ended inputs and is capable of sourcing up to 124 meters (40 feet) of track trace and capacitance. Its onboard Digital Phase-Locked Loop (DPLL) makes it ideal for today\'s high-performance, high-speed system requirements such as jitter-optimized, data-validated clock distribution and data-validated signal distribution. Its flexible power-distribution and frequency-dividing features provide greater flexibility to design a wide range of frequency and distribution topologies.

The 8304AMILF\'s integrated on-die re-timing architecture allows the clock buffer to automatically adjust the frequency, duty cycle, and amplitude of the transmitted digital signals. With its on-die DPLL capabilities, the 8304AMILF can automatically align its output signal with the input signal, and save power by avoiding the need for an external frequency synthesizer to provide the necessary clock synchronization. In addition, the 8304AMILF\'s tuneable pre-emphasis and de-emphasis features can optimize signal transmission characteristics and reduce signal distortion while improving noise margin.
