It is also used to open and close circuits in response to predetermined actions and to provide control over a wide range of functions such as timers, lights, pumps, compressors and governors.The 831330C1.0 has a micro switch style plungerwith a v-shaped lead which allows for both slow and rapid response to the electrical circuit. The plunger pivots on a hinge allowing it to move into the cable head and release electronically when the set limit is reached. The movement of the plunger is limited by an adjustable actuator so that the switch remains in a "on" or "off" position until the limit is exceeded.The switch is mounted in a metal case which provides both a physical and electrical barrier between the electrical circuit and the outside environment. The design of the case also allows for efficient contact with and insulation of the plunger leads to prevent shorting and reduce electrical noise. The 831330C1.0 switch operates on either AC or DC with a voltage rating of 16A at 250V AC/DC and a current rating of 12A at 24V AC/DC.
