Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) are computer-based controllers used in the modern industrial automation process. The main idea behind PLCs is to enable machines to carry out a set of predetermined operations without intervention from an operator. These set of operations are defined as a program or a code which will enable PLCs to trigger outputs or delayed outputs, depending upon the inputs given.
