Flat flexible connectors, sometimes abbreviated as FFC or FPC connectors, are particularly useful for applications that require small board-to-board, or board-to-flex cable assemblies. They are both physically and electrically superior to other products on the market due to their physical design, low profile, and lightweight. Characteristically, an FFC or FPC connector is constructed from two elements, a flat flexible cable and a connector, with the connectors being typically composed of plastic holders, to which the flat flexible cable is attached.
