Through Hole Resistors
Through hole resistors are a type of resistor that uses a cylindrical lead at each end of the resistor. They are also known as leaded resistors. These type of resistors are commonly used for both military and commercial applications.
The leaded resistors are usually manufactured from a ceramic material and is formed into a cylindrical shape. This ceramic material is then wrapped in an insulating material, such as copper, that will protect the resistor from any external damage. The resistor is then connected to a terminal end at both sides of the resistor, which is often made of metal or plastic.
A through hole resistor works by allowing the electrical current to flow only through the available holes in the structure. This helps to protect the resistor from overvoltage and prevents it from getting damaged due to excessive current.
One of the most common applications of through hole resistors is in the automotive and industrial sectors. They are used to protect sensitive electronic components from overvoltage and provide a protection against short-circuits. They are also used in the electrical appliances and other electronic equipment for providing additional protection from overvoltage.
The most common type of through hole resistor is the 90J10KE. This type of resistor is usually used for protection against short-circuit conditions. The 90J10KE provides additional protection against overvoltage conditions and is also used for controlling the electricity flow.
The 90J10KE uses a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) Thermistor to provide the protection against short circuits. The thermistor increases the resistance of the resistor when the temperature rises. This prevents the resistor from being damaged by an excessive amount of current.
The 90J10KE also uses a ceramic substrate for the construction of the resistor. The ceramic substrate helps to provide additional thermal protection against short circuits. The ceramic provides additional protection against any potential damage that may result from using a regular resistor.
The 90J10KE can also be used to provide protection against overvoltage conditions. This application is performed by using the PTC thermistor to reduce the amount of current flowing through the resistor. This allows the 90J10KE to provide additional protection against overvoltage conditions.
Through hole resistors are commonly used in various industrial applications, especially in the automotive and industrial sectors. They provide additional protection against any type of short-circuit or overvoltage conditions. The 90J10KE provides the best protection against any Overvoltage or Short-Circuit conditions and is widely used in the electrical and automotive industry.
