Pluggable Connectors - 91525-1210 Application Field and Working Principle

91525-1210 is a type of pluggable connections, which could be used to transport electrical signals with high bandwidth and low cost. This type of pluggable connectors is a kind of the widely used connection systems for data networks and telecom systems.

91525-1210 is also known as the Multifiber (MTP®) Plug & Adaptor. This type of pluggable connectors has been designed with the push-pull latching mechanism which makes the connection and disconnection of the plugs quite easy. It includes a twelve-fiber end-face UPC-polished with a 0.2dB typical return loss.

91525-1210 MTP/MPO pluggable connectors are mainly used in data centers and telecom applications. With their small form factor and high fiber density, they could save much space in data equipment and maximize the use of fibers. This type of connector is usually applied in 100G networks or higher speed networks and could achieve the speeds up to 400Gbps.

The working principle of 91525-1210 pluggable connectors lies in the structure design of the connector and its associated with corresponding adapter. On the back side of the connector, there are precisely designed struts which make the pluggable connector in an accurate and stable way against the adapter\'s contacts. This up-locking mechanism can effectively clean the dust on the contacts of the connectors when plugging and unplugging.
