Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT) are electronic components that limit voltage levels in electrical systems. They are used to protect distributions circuits, communications systems, and sensitive electronic systems from momentary surges or transients. This type of electronic arresters has become increasingly important in recent years due to the increasing prevalence of computer-based equipment and communication systems.
