9986-5065 Working Principle
The principle of operation of the 9986-5065 Series proximity sensors is based on the near field inductive technology. This means that the sensors create and detect an alternating electromagnetic field (EMF) which is constantly oscillating between an attractive and a repulsive mode. This EMF is sensed when objects enter into the field and act as an antenna, creating an inductive short circuit.When an object approaches the EMF field, the current flowing through the coil is reduced, leading to a drop in the output voltage. When the voltage dips below a certain threshold, an alarm is triggered. The range of sensitivity is adjustable, so that the sensors can be tuned to detect objects over a range of distances.The 9986-5065 Series of proximity sensors are designed to be rugged and durable, and are able to operate reliably even in harsh industrial environments.
