Clock/Timing - Application Specific is the application field of the 9DBL0442BKILF. This device is a low-voltage differential signal (LVDS) clock local oscillator (CLO). It provides an LVDS clock that is programmable between 6 to 40 MHz. The 9DBL0442BKILF is designed for use in applications such as high speed, low jitter and low skew serial communications, data processing, video, digital imaging and test equipment.
The 9DBL0442BKILF clock module is based on a temperature-compensated voltage controlled oscillator (TCXO) that is adjustable with an external frequency tuning pin (FT). It can realize a frequency accuracy up to ±2 kHz over wide operating ranges of temperature, supply and frequency parameters. This clock module also features low jitter and low skew, making it suitable for applications that require precise timing control.
The 9DBL0442BKILF clock module also comes with integrated phase lock loop (PLL) circuitry which allows it to synthesize frequency outputs of up to 20 MHz with a fractional-N frequency synthesis. This is done through a PLL frequency control interface that adjusts to a reference clock source such as a crystal oscillator. The PLL circuitry also has on-chip frequency calibration logic that allows the 9DBL0442BKILF to be precisely tuned to a desired frequency.
Apart from the PLL circuitry, the 9DBL0442BKILF also comes with a configurable start-up frequency feature. This feature allows the user to specify a start-up frequency that will be used when the power is turned on.
