The A1360LKTTN-T is a member of the magnetic sensors-linear, compass (ICs) family, of which its major features in this product series include a high sensitivity of 30 G and low power consumption at 1.2 mA and so on. It is able to provide an output pulse rate that is proportional to the electronically analysis from the magnetic flux density, along three axes in real time and with a frequency response up to maximum of 1 kHz. Moreover, the device functions are operated by a 10 - 18 VDC supply current.

In general, the A1360LKTTN-T works by firstly discerning and measuring orientation, motion, or position. With a built-in Hall element, the device is able to detect a magnetic field coming from its S-pole and N-pole which interpret to represent an output signal as it changes with varying milligauss values. With two Hall elements that are placed 90 degrees apart from each other, the magnetic field intensity of both poles will be picked up, and the differential read of the two signals will be used to identify the presence of the magnetic field. This device further innovates to provide outputs through pulse width modulation (PWM) and pulse frequency modulation (PFM) which are already programmed in the chip that has three axes. For example, if the output from the three axes is obtained as output1, output2 and output3; then the average of this output signals is what that the normal output value of the chip will be.
