- A1377LUCTN-TC1-T Application Field and Working Principle
In the fields of magnetic sensors, linear, compass (ICs), A1377LUCTN-TC1-T is a small and low-power three-axis linear digital compass IC that is designed for automotive OEM applications. It utilizes a unique aTc™ (auto-Tuning & Calibration) algorithm that enables the linearity of measurement at all magnetic orientations. A1377LUCTN-TC1-T is based on abilitic\'s aTc™ (auto-Tuning & Calibration) time- Domain Hall-effect technology. This IC has an electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection of 8KV (air discharge) and 4KV (contact discharge).
The working principle of A1377LUCTN-TC1-T is a combination of time-Domain Hall sensing measurement and digital signal processing, which utilizes the linear relationship between the applied field strength and the measured time- Domain signal amplitude. The amplitude of the time-Domain signal is proportional to the applied field strength. By digitizing the time-Domain signal and utilizing continuous signal-processing techniques, A1377LUCTN-TC1-T can detect and measure the amplitude of the applied field. The measured signal is then passed through a low-pass filter, and the phase of the filtered signal is used to calculate the direction of the applied field.
A1377LUCTN-TC1-T is primarily for providing directional information and act as the base for angle-measuring. This part is manufactured in a 3x3mm QFN package with 16 pins. It has a sampling frequency of 48Hz-400Hz at 3% tolerance, sensing temperature range of -20°C - +70°C and operating voltage of 3.3V ( analog) and 1.8V (TDI). Its typical magnetic sensing range is 57 μT and it offers a linear measurement accuracy of 0.4 μT for a 10% field change.
A1377LUCTN-TC1-T is suitable for applications such as integration to electronic compasses, vehicle navigation systems, sound navigation and ranging (sonar) systems, and data logging. Its ability to make accurate measurements even in changing environmental conditions makes it ideal for automotive OEM applications.
