The A1441EELLT-T is a single-channel, powerful, low-side MOSFET driver. It is a member of the A1441 Combination Power MOSFET and Gate Driver ICs family. This device integrates a low-side MOSFET switch and the associated other necessary components, such as an optimized gate driver, to enable efficient, low-power MOSFET. It integrates a programmable frequency-modulated protection system that enhances system immunity against semi-conductors and electrode shorts.
Application fields
The A1441EELLT-T is designed to drive a power MOSFET in applications that require a single-channel high-efficiency, low-power MOSFET. It is most suitable for microprocessor and digital signal processor (DSP) applications, such as motor control, industrial automation, automotive and consumer appliances. This device is particularly suited for applications that require a low input capacitance, low RDS(on), and low power supply voltage.
Working principle
The A1441EELLT-T uses a differential input structure for improved common-mode rejection and transient immunity and voltage translation. The logic input is level-shifted to VDD, allowing the MOSFET to remain in the linear region up to VDD during the turn-on or turn-off period. The low-side MOSFET is driven with a host of advanced technologies, such as adaptive shoot-through protection, dynamic gate current protection, gate driver slew rate control, turn-on or turn-off transient ripple reduction, etc. These technologies are all critical for achieving the best performance of the device.
The A1441EELLT-T also provides two high-current, durable, low-side MOSFET switch outputs. Each output is current limited by the drain current IDS and can deliver a regulated voltage of 5V to 24V to drive the MOSFETs. The output of the device is modulated by pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal that can be generated internally or externally.
The A1441EELLT-T also features a programmable frequency-modulated protection system that is used to reduce the stress levels in the MOSFETS. This system can detect current level, temperature, and voltage to provide the best protection against MOSFET failure. In addition, the device includes an internal watchdog to automatically detect any fault conditions and shut down the output after five seconds.
