Working Principle
The A3980KLPTR-T provides a versatile and integrated solution for BLDC motor control. It features an integrated charge pump and three fully independent MOSFET gate drivers that can drive separate low-side and high-side MOSFETs or IGBTs. The chip operates between 4.5V and 36V, and is supplied with a 5V or bootstrap supply. The device offers a variety of protections, including separate maximum current thresholds, overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, and thermal shutdown.
The A3980KLPTR-T incorporates a PFM-controlled charge pump for gate drive voltage generation, allowing for robust and low-noise operation.
