A8519KETTR-R as a PMIC - LED driver, is designed to drive single or multiple constant current LEDs connected in series or parallel, with the direct qualified to minimize the total applied voltage across the string of LEDs. The integrated power MOSFETS can support the DC input voltage up to 36V. This feature simplifies the design of external power supply and thus reduces total system cost. The chip design is laid out with a max switching frequency of 1MHz helping it obtain better EMI performance. It can directly drive the LEDs up to 1A LED current. Its protection functions include Cycle-by-Cycle Over Current protection, Short Circuit protection, Open LED protection, and Thermal shutdown. The A8519KETTR-R also has two dimming options with wide dimming frequency. It supports Analog and PWM dimming from 100 Hz to 100 kHz. In Tunable White Lighting applications, it enables Dimming and Kelvin temperature (Color) control.
