The dimming feature of the chip offers dimming control range from 0.015% to 100%, thus enabling efficient adjustment of the LED brightness as per the requirements.

The AAT2863IMK-T1 supports dedicated Dimming Interface (Dim_IF) which allows direct connection of potentiometers or digital dimming control signals. It also features an internal over-current protection (OCP) to protect the LED string from exceeding its maximum limit and thus avoid any damage to the LED. The chip also features configurable long-term ripple current and maximum ripple current protections as well as over-temperature protection.

The AAT2863IMK-T1 provides excellent efficiency over a wide range of supply and load, up to 95% efficiency. The chip operates at constant off-time control to ensure no current is flowing through the LEDs in off-periods. It also provides glitch-free on/off transitions which help in optimized LED lighting performance. The chip is available in 8-bump micro SMD package with dimensions of 2.6mm x 2.6mm.
