The AD6655-125GBZ Evaluation Board consists of two main components, a receiver and a transmitter. The receiver is composed of the AD6655-125GBZ low-power chip and ADI\'s low-noise amplifier selection that allows a signal path with a noise figure down to 6dB. The transmitter consists of the ADI digital conversion converter module and the ADI power amplifier selection that allows a linear-mode power envelope output while consuming only 13 milliamps of current. When the circuit is operating in receive mode, the noise figure of the receiver side is 6 dB.

The AD6655-125GBZ Evaluation Board also offers a wide bandwidth for operation, allowing frequencies up to 8 GHz. This provides the user with a wide range of operation and improved system versatility. The low-power chip provides an Rx/Tx switching component, which eliminates the need for complex external switching boards and provides improved system performance and power efficiency. The transmitters on the board enable 3-level clocking with up to 10 digital-to-analog conversion (DAC) outputs corresponding to digitization rates of 2.4GHz.

The Evaluation Board also offers a range of output range configurations from –60 dBm to +20 dBm and provides excellent linearity for signal delivery. This thereby provides the user with enhanced sensitivity and a superior noise floor for receiving weak signals. The board is suitable for testing in various RF application scenarios, such as for frequency conversion, signal amplification, and signal switching.
