AD7945BRZ-REEL is a device within a family of digitally-programmable, ±4.096V, Unipolar/Bipolar, high precision, low-power, 12-bit buffered voltage output DACs. It features a single-supply operation and requires only one external resistor to set the full-scale range. This particular DAC can allow its user wide range of full scale adjustment, up to ±7.75V, while still providing the highest accuracy. It has 0.035% integrated nonlinearity and 0.85% temperature coefficient which allows precise and stable reproducible analog voltage output under varying temperature and voltage conditions.

This DAC is designed to provide excellent performance and accuracy in extremely space restrictive application fields such as handheld and portable applications, instrumentation, and professional audio. Its low quiescent current and a low power consumption of 7.2mW makes it a perfect choice for battery powered systems.

It operations start with the application of logic high (1) or logically low (0) to the three Low power mode pins. On the falling edge of the LDAC pin, the device produces a programmable voltage which is determined by the coding of three mode pins, the latch/load pin, and the data input pins.

AD7945BRZ-REEL can also be externally synchronized in order to synchronize the DAC’s output with the data in. Additionally, its active low reset pin is designed to set all 12 bits of the digital latch to 0 on application of low voltage.
