The AD8552AR is a precision instrumentation amplifier that can be used to amplify low-level signals. It features low offset voltage, low input bias currents, low gain drift, low noise, and high common-mode rejection. It is ideal for applications that require high-precision signal conditioning and sensing.

The AD8552AR is suitable for use in a wide variety of instrumentation, measurement, and control applications such as transducer based measurement, strain gauge measurements, RTD measurements, and thermocouple measurements; bridge transducer feed-back amplifiers; inertial measurement systems; and force, pressure, acceleration and vibration measurements.

The AD8552AR operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. It is available in a 10-lead MSOP package and has a gain range of 1 to 1000. The device is designed with low power consumption and low drift over temperature.

The AD8552AR is based on a trans-impedance topology and utilizes a differential amplifier configuration with an adjustable gain. The resistance at pins 6 and 7 is adjustable by an external resistor and is connected through a gain-setting pin (pin 9). The output of this stage is fed to a unity-gain buffer stage that is configured to reduce temperature-drift errors. The output section utilizes a precision-bias current source to reduce common-mode voltage and to improve offset voltage issues.

The AD8552AR can be used to measure very low amplitude signals, while maintaining accuracy over a wide temperature range and providing excellent dynamic range. The device has low noise and improved common-mode rejection, which allows it to reject noise from external sources, such as power line hum and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The AD8552AR is designed for use with low-level signals and provides high accuracy with low error.
