The AD9204-20EBZ is a comprehensive evaluation board for the AD9204-20 analog to digital converter. This board allows engineers to speed up development cycles and quickly bring the digital solutions to market. The board includes features such as programmable gain amplifier, analog multiplexer, and reference design implementation, as well as the Analog Devices AD9204-20, an 8-bit, 40-MS/s low power analog-to-digital converter.The AD9204-20EBZ is designed to demonstrate the performance of the AD9204-20 in a range of measurement and data acquisition applications. The board features a wide dynamic range programmable gain amplifier, 12-bit analog multiplexer, 8-channel digital input and output (DIO) expansion headers, and a powerful Spartan-6 FPGA board for system monitoring and real-time control. Additionally, the AD9204-20EBZ provides prototyping footprints for implementing the user’s own digital processing, as well as headers for connecting the board to external equipment for data acquisition, control or data transfer.The AD9204-20 analog to digital converter works by taking an analog signal and converting it to a digital signal. The input signal is converted to a voltage using an analog-to-digital converter. This voltage is then converted to a digital signal with a dedicated digital-to-analog converter. The digital signal is then sent to a processor to be analyzed and used.The AD9204-20EBZ has many features that make it an ideal choice for high-speed applications. The board boasts a wide variety of input ranges, allowing engineers to design independent and programmable analog front ends.
