During the integrating ADC stage, the analog signal is sampled and held at a sampling frequency determined by the reference voltage. After that, the sampled signals undergo an amplification stage and a comparator stage. The amplified signals are then compared to the reference voltage and converted into two distinct logic states: high (1) or low (0). All these logic states are then summed up in the digital domain to generate a digital output.In the decimation stage, the ADC takes the digital outputs generated by the integrator stage and reduces them to a much better resolution. This decimation process is done by averaging the digital signals over multiple cycles. After that, the final digital output is generated after being fed into a digital signal processor (DSP) where it is digitally filtered and scaled.The AD9211-200EBZ is perfect for applications requiring high-speed analog-to-digital conversion.
