AD9229ABCPZ-65, a high-performance, low-power, dual-channel 12-Bit Sar Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) with dual Proportional Integral (PI) switched-capacitor tracking-filters, is a high-precision, low-power and cost effective device. It’s mainly used in battery powered applications, such as cellular phone, tablet, netbook, notebook, laptop and so on.AD9229ABCPZ-65 is a two-channel device that can simultaneously convert two channels of analog data into digital data. And it provides a very high speed throughput of up to 2.1Msps/channel. Thanks to its low power consumption and low cost, the AD9229ABCPZ-65 can be used in general-purpose and simple power supplies with very low current draw.
The AD9229ABCPZ-65 has a sample accuracy of +-0.5LSB and the output is 12bit serial digital output. And it offers an excellent signal-noise ratio of 68.5dB SNR in the bandwidth range of 5MHz. The device also features pulse width detection, temperature measurement, logarithmic conversion, and automatic gain adjustment, as well as a dual-range spanning function. Furthermore, the device is equipped with a 4-channel mux, which can be used to measure 4 continuous channels of analog signal.
The AD9229ABCPZ-65 works based on a switched-capacitor, self-tracking and distortion-canceling circuit. It allows for the simultaneous acquisition of two distinct signal paths and then digitally filters the incoming signals to separate them into two distinct signal paths, each with its own low-noise and low-distortion signal. This provides the advantage of a fast transient response, improved signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range, and lower power consumption. The device features three operating modes:
- Normal Mode: The AD9229ABCPZ-65 continuously takes sample of the input signal and outputs the digital data.
- Buffer Mode: When input signal fluctuates, the device stores 4 samples for each channel, which then helps to minimize latency before outputting digital data.
- Mux Mode: The device can simultaneously take the four input signals from the four-channel mux in the buffer mode, allowing for the measurement of four continuous channels.
