The AD9269BCPZ-20 is a High Performance 14-bit Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) from Analog Devices Inc. This device is commonly used in Aerospace, Military or Industrial applications requiring precise control and accurate data acquisition.
The AD9269BCPZ-20 is a high performance, low power converter designed for fast and reliable performance in a wide range of applications including control systems, medical imaging, test instruments and high speed communications. Its 14-bit analog-to-digital converter has a sampling rate of up to 20MHz and features both low power consumption and high resolution. The device also features internal input buffer stages, differential inputs and on-chip calibration.The device has excellent differential linearity, high SNR and very low noise for a high-resolution, low-power application.
In terms of its working principle, the AD9269BCPZ-20 supports single-ended and differential analog inputs. When sampling an input signal, the ADC converts the input from an analog level to a digital representation. This is done by first comparing the analog input to a reference voltage, then counting the number of clock pulses required for the analog input to equal the reference voltage. This count is represented as a digital number proportional to the original analog input.
The device features a low power mode and a variety of input range options including 0V to +5V, 0V to +10V, 0V to +2.5V, 0V to +2V, 0V to +1V and -5V to +5V. The device’s dc specifications include an INL of<1LSB maximum, a total unadjusted error of 1LSB maximum and a full-scale error measurement of 4LSB maximum. Additionally, the AD9269BCPZ-20 operates with a power supply voltage of ±5V and consumes just 0.7 Watts (1.8W/VGA/Channel).
The AD9269BCPZ-20 also features a serial interface for communication with other devices. The serial interface supports four data modes including 8/16/24/32 bits.
