RF transceiver ICs are widely used today in a variety of applications ranging from consumer electronics to industrial and military communications. The AD9371BBCZ-REEL is a high-performance, low-power, single-chip quad-band receiver-transmitter transceiver designed for use in multiband wireless and cellular applications. AD9371BBCZ-REEL designed with both Advanced Digital Receiver (ADR) architecture and digital transmitter architectures for enhanced linearity, low current consumption and size reduction. It is one of the most advanced and feature-rich RF transceiver ICs available in the market.
The integrated ADC and DAC circuits embedded in the device makes it useful for a broad range of applications like cellular, broadcast, wireless, and satellite communications. The AD9371BBCZ-REEL also comes with an embedded baseband processor, enabling the device to respond to both in-band signaling and out of band signaling. The processor also ensures the device meets the stringent radiation requirements for aviation, space, and military applications.
The receiver part of the AD9371BBCZ-REEL RF transceiver ICs includes Quad-band synthesizers, four low-noise wideband analog-to-digital converters, four digital equalizers, and four low-power 64dB gain stages. The receiver pass band spans from 21MHz to 3260MHz and features high linearity, high sensitivity and good phase noise rejection. In addition, the multiband equalization algorithm can be adapted to support the unique characteristics of different antennas and link conditions.
The transmitter part of the AD9371BBCZ-REEL has a quad-band synthesis, four low-phase noise digital-to-analog converters, four low-power 64dB amplifiers, and a four-phase modulator. The transmitter supports carrier frequencies up to 3260MHz and features the traditional low-noise, wideband output. The low-power 64dB amplifiers ensure highly efficient transmission.
AD9371BBCZ-REEL transceiver ICs are fabricated using state-of-the-art processes and design techniques to ensure optimum performance, ultra-low power consumption and an ultra-small form factor. For total system integration, the device also supports digital modulation formats to maximize power efficiency. The AD9371BBCZ-REEL supports I2C, SPI, and JTAG communication protocols and is easily programmable using a range of suitable software tools. The package of the chip is very small with 56-pin, space-saving LGA package.
