The AD9674KBCZ is a fully integrated, highly flexible, ultra-low power, 28 nm, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for data acquisition applications. It is part of the Data Acquisition - Analog Front End (AFE) family of products from Analog Devices, Inc. The AD9674KBCZ is designed to capture, convert and store analog signals for the analysis, manipulation and visualisation of real-world scenarios. The ADC is capable of converting analog signals at a rate of up to 1GSPS, and features a variable gain amplifier (VGA) stage to adjust the input signal level before it is sampled. In addition, the AD9674KBCZ also has integrated latency control, digital tuning circuitry and time-division multiplexing (TDM) support.The AD9674KBCZ has a variety of application fields, such as automotive, aerospace, industrial, medical and communications. It can be used to measure analog physical signals such as pressure, temperature, force, rotation and frequency, among other data acquisition applications. The AD9674KBCZ also has the ability to measure analog signals for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee communications. Additionally, the ADC is capable of monitoring the power supplies in high-precision applications such as medical imaging, process control and satellite communications.The AD9674KBCZ has a simple working principle. First, the integrated VGA section amplifies the input signal to a level suitable for conversion. Then, the core cutting-edge 28nm pipelined ADC architecture is used to convert the input signal into a digital signal. The ADC offers two main advantages: high dynamic range and low noise. This enables the AD9674KBCZ to capture even the weakest signals and accurately convert them into digital form. After the signal has been converted, it is stored in a precision latency-control digital-to-time buffer, which can then be accessed by the data acquisition system.The AD9674KBCZ features a wide range of features and capabilities that make it the ideal choice for data acquisition applications. It provides high resolution, wide dynamic range and low power consumption. The integrated timing control enables it to capture and store data at low and varying signal levels with no signal processing latency. Additionally, the integrated TDM support allows for precise control of the sampling rate, enabling precise timing of data capture and conversions.
