The AD9650BCPZ-65 is a high-speed, low-power, monolithic 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed to operate from a single 3V supply. It provides a single-ended, low impedance complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) output and operates up to 450 Msamples/s making it one of the fastest ADCs available. The AD9650BCPZ-65 has a wide input range and excellent dynamic performance, offering a power consumption that is nearly one-tenth that of equivalent converters in the current technology.The AD9650BCPZ-65 has a wide range of applications, from test and measurement to industrial and automotive applications. It can be used for signal conditioners in bridge applications, as an input stage for RF receivers, for high-speed PWM to current level conversion, and for entertainment applications such as remote audio and video. It can also be used for data acquisition and control systems, and for embedded applications.The AD9650BCPZ-65 offers low-power and high-resolution performance, as well as a flexible, scalable architecture, which is scalable and reduces design complexity. It supports multiple sampling rates and has built-in temperature error correction and short-term stability calibration. The AD9650BCPZ-65 provides a low over-sampling ratio that helps to minimize power consumption. The design of the AD9650BCPZ-65 allows it to easily interface with a variety of digital and analog systems, including A/D interface logic and serial digital interface (SDI) lighting designs. It is also suitable for high speed data acquisition exploration and decoding applications such as digital-to-analog conversion (DAC) and frequency synthesis.The AD9650BCPZ-65 employs a single-ended architecture which optimizes the conversion speed, power and resolution. It features an on-chip differential amplifier and on-chip ± 1.2V reference. The A/D converter is based on dual slope sigma-delta architecture which uses two correlated double sampling operations to achieve linearity and high resolution. The dual slope architecture reduces spur levels, minimizes power consumption, and eliminates the need for an external low-pass filter.The AD9650BCPZ-65 also utilises a built-in sinewave generator to generate test sinewaves for characterizing the performance of the ADC. The sinewave generator works in conjunction with the sigma-delta architecture to ensure that the system is linear and produces accurate results. The sinewave generator can be used to provide modulation data for research and development applications, thus allowing for improved testing and signal analysis. The AD9650BCPZ-65 has good signal-to-noise ratio, making it suitable for signal-reception and disturbance minimisation applications, such as spread spectrum signal reception and signal processing. The device can also be used for multichannel signal conversion and signal phase measurement.The AD9650BCPZ-65 has a very low input noise and offset voltage, making it suitable for a variety of signal conditioning applications, such as noise reduction and active filters. It is also suitable for low-level signal acquisition, DC level detection, and multiplexers in industrial process control systems.
