The AD9778BSVZ is a 8-bit digital-analog converter (DAC) that provides linearity and accuracy of a precision-calibrated data acquisition system. It features an extended dynamic range and wide power supply range. The AD9778BSVZ is a monolithic CMOS-based device that provides four independent channels of data conversion. Each of the four channels is individually calibrated for ideal linearity and accuracy when referenced to an ideal 5 V single-ended 500/1000 mA input range.The AD9778BSVZ is a monolithic CMOS-based precision-calibrated DAC that offers an exceptional combination of dynamic range, power and design ease for many data acquisition applications. This device is housed in a 16-pin wide and 6-pin deep TSOP-II package, and has an improved power supply rejection ratio of greater than 80 dB. It is designed for use with a single 5 V power supply, with a 250 mV programming voltage.The AD9778BSVZ DAC features an extended dynamic range of 50 dB, with a linearity of more than 0.1% over the full span. It also features an adjustable sampling rate of up to 500/1000 Mbits/sec, and a wide power supply voltage range of 4.2 V to 5.5 V. The AD9778BSVZ also offers an excellent power supply rejection ratio of more than 80 dB, and provides an output impedance of less than 50 mOhms.The AD9778BSVZ is a self-calibrating device, using a proprietary closed-loop control algorithm, which eliminates the need for manual calibration and reduces the system integration time. This circuit eliminates the need for manual trimming which can lead to undesirable and potentially inaccurate data, as well as improved stability over temperature and time. The AD9778BSVZ DAC also features a programmable output digital interface that is designed for high-speed communications.
