1. Describe

The ADCMP600BRJZ-R2 is a very fast comparator fabricated on Analog Devices, Inc.'s proprietary process XFCB2. These comparators are very versatile and easy to use. Features include an input range from GND − 0.5 V to VCC + 0.2 V, low noise, TTL-/CMOS compatible output drivers, and a latch input with adjustable hysteresis and/or shutdown input. The device offers 5 ns propagation delay and 10 mV overdrive at a typical supply current of 3 mA. A flexible power supply scheme allows the device to operate from a single +2.5 V positive supply and −0.5 V to +2.8 V input signal range up to a +5.5 V positive supply and −0.5 V to +5.8 V input signal range. ADCMP600BRJZ-R2 on Split input/output supplies with no timing constraints support a wide input signal range while still allowing independent output swing control and power savings. The TTL-/CMOS compatible output stage is designed to drive up to the full timing specification of 5 pF and degrades gracefully and linearly when additional capacitance is added. The comparator input stage provides robust protection against large input overdrive and the output does not invert when the valid input signal range is exceeded. Latch and programmable hysteresis functions are also available through a unique single-pin control option.ADCMP600BRJZ-R2 is available in 5-pin SC70 and SOT-23 packages encapsulation.
