The ADCMP602BRMZ is a high-speed, low-power, small-package linear comparator that is ideal for sensing, monitoring, and conversion functions. It is a low voltage, rail-to-rail output, CMOS device which provides fast response and low power consumption. The comparator is capable of operating from supply voltages as low as 1.0V. An internal latch control allows for asynchronous control of set and reset functions.The linear comparator family includes two types of devices: General-Purpose Comparators and Bias ratio Comparators. General-Purpose Comparators are designed for applications where either precise voltage detection or over-voltage protection is required. Bias ratio Comparators are designed for applications where precise bias ratios are important, such as gain control loops or other feedback control systems. The ADCMP602BRMZ is a Bias ratio Comparator, which means that it is designed for applications where precise bias ratios are important. For example, it can be used in gain control loops or other feedback control systems to detect input signals and output appropriate control signals. The comparator compares the input voltage to a reference voltage and sets the output high or low depending on the outcome. The reference voltage is set by an internal voltage divider and an external resistor.The ADCMP602BRMZ internally divides the input voltage into two parts. The first part is the biasing voltage and the second is the actual voltage that is compared; this is called the bias-ratio.
